Guide to the German Letter of Intent (LOI)

A Letter of Intent (LOI), also known as a Letter of Authority, is a document required by the in-country regulator that explains the purpose and intended use of your new German phone number.

To create your LOI, please draft a letter on your company's letterhead that includes the following information:

• Your company's name

• Authorized contact's full details

• The service description for the number

• The full name and title of the authorized signatory (e.g., CEO, CFO)

• The signature of the authorized signatory

• Your company's official stamp (if available)

Required Questions to Answer in the LOI

The German regulator requires answers to the following specific questions within the LOI to understand the planned use of the number:

• What type of service will be provided with the German phone number? (e.g., customer service, conferencing, etc.)

• How will customers be informed about the number? (e.g., published on a website, printed on a billboard, etc.)

• Will any websites be used to publish the number? If so, please list the websites and their operators.

General Sample Instructions

When using a sample document, please follow these instructions:

• Completely replace the blue-highlighted fields with your own information. Do not change any text that is not highlighted.

• If you do not yet have an AVOXI number, you can remove that field.

• Ensure the documents are signed by an authorized signatory.
