Updated Nigeria Dial Plan Changes Effective January 1, 2024

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) in July 2023 changed the Landline Numbering format of the entire Nigerian Landline Networks. They included a preceding 02 to all existing landline Telephone numbers to make the number of digits to become 11 to
match same number of digits as GSM Numbers. This has already been communicated to the world through the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) and this is the new Landline telephone format for the Federal Republic of Nigeria from 2024.

In order to prepare our customers for this change we are informing you to start using the new number format together with the old formats. You can start using the new numbers on Stationery, prints and electronic media and everywhere you have your telephone
numbers displayed.

To know your new number, simply add 02 to the existing number as seen in the table below;

S/N OLD NUMBER NEW NUMBER
1 01 887 1000 0201 887 1000
2 01 888 1000 0201 888 1000
3 01 889 1000 0201 889 1000
