📧 Email Forwarding and Management
| Question |
Answer |
| Is there a mobile app for SMS? |
No. Since your SMS messages are forwarded directly to your email, you can access those messages anywhere you have access to your email. |
| Can I forward my incoming SMS to a group email address? |
Yes. You can forward messages to any email address, including a group email or an application email (e.g., a CRM email-to-case address). This allows your team to easily respond to and manage inquiries. |
| What does the incoming SMS look like in my inbox? |
Incoming SMS messages will have the subject line: "SMS from (and the user's number)" and the body will contain the customer's text message. The system will not pull names. |
| When responding to a customer's SMS/Business text, will the recipient know I am emailing them? |
No! Your email responses will appear to the recipient exactly like a text message. Our system automatically removes email signatures and other email-specific formatting. |
| What happens if my out-of-office responder is turned on for the forwarding email? |
Your customers will receive SMS messages that include your out-of-office responses. To prevent this, you should set up rules to exclude responding to these messages or change your forwarding address to a group email address. |
| Can I block customers from texting my SMS number? |
No, we currently do not have that capability. |
| Does SMS forward to WhatsApp? |
No, it cannot currently forward to other applications like WhatsApp. |
