When you want to associate your Genius number with a Facebook account, you can link your mobile number in your Profile settings and Facebook will send a confirmation text message to verify identity. Since Genius does not support shortcodes, our SMS customers may experience trouble receiving your confirmation texts. 

When this situation occurs there are three alternative methods the customer can try. 

Within the Facebook Help Center, there are resources available to receive a confirmation code. 

Check the number that you entered

1. Click here to view the mobile number you entered.
2. If you entered the wrong number, click the Wrong number?.
3. Enter the correct number and click Add.

Get a phone call with the code

1. Click here.
2. Click Did you not get the SMS?
3. Click Call [mobile number].

Re-send the SMS

1. Click here.
2. Click Did you not get the SMS?
3. Click Send SMS Again.

Use an email instead

1. Click here.
2. Click Wrong number?
3. Enter your email and click Add.
4. Try confirming your Facebook account with your email instead of a mobile number.
