1. How to Configure Your Voicemail

• Select Your Number: In your AVOXI portal, go to the Numbers tab and click on the number you want to manage.
• Locate Voicemail Settings: Click on the Voicemail Greetings tab at the top.
• Choose Your Method:
  • Upload a File (Recommended): Drag and drop a professionally recorded .wav file. Pro Tip: Ensure the filename has no spaces or special characters.
  • Record Live: Use your computer's microphone to record directly into the portal.
  • Pick from Library: Choose from pre-loaded generic AVOXI greetings.
• Set the Destination: Enter the email address(es) where you want the audio files delivered.

2. Industry Standards for a Great Greeting

The 20-Second Rule: Keep greetings between 20–30 seconds. Long enough to be professional, short enough to prevent hang-ups.

The "Identify & Instruct" Formula: 

1. Identify: "Thank you for calling [Company Name]."

2. Explain: "We are currently assisting other customers or are away from the desk."

3. Instruct: "Please leave your name, number, and a brief message."
