HTTP Forwarding/URL Forwarding
Purchase and set up text-enabled virtual numbers online, and you can instantly forward your SMS messages to the URL Endpoint of your choosing. In addition, it allows you to send and receive text messages via your existing SMS solution.
HTTP Forwarding Configuration
As an Admin, log into Genius, select 'Numbers' from the left navigation, and choose the number you'd like to set up for SMS forwarding. Next, click the 'Forwarding' tab and the 'SMS' sub tab across the top.
Enter the rule name, select Webhook (HTTP) in the Forward Message To field, and enter a destination for the incoming SMS message. AVOXI will send an HTTP Post request to your server and forward the incoming message to the specified URL. Once the URL is entered, you can click on the Test URL button to the right. If all is well, you will receive the following message: Webhook URL test successful.
A security token is optional but highly recommended to authorize HTTP inbound SMS requests. The token will ensure any inbound SMS messages you receive are from AVOXI. Once entered, the security token field will be locked. To change the security token, you must delete the existing token and re-enter a new one.
